Who is Steve Aoki?


Let us get to know this famous international DJ that will be visiting us at Valkyrie this October 2015. For the benefit of those who visits my blog that has little knowledge about international DJ's like myself.

Steven Hiroyuki "Steve" Aoki (born November 30, 1977) is an American electro house musician. Steven Hiroyuki Aoki was born in Miami, Florida, and grew up in Newport Beach, California. He graduated from Newport Harbor High School in 1995.

Aoki founded his own label, Dim Mak Records, in 1996. The label has released music by other electro house artists such as MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, Felix Cartal, and Mustard Pimp, as well as Bloc Party, The Kills, Klaxons, Infected Mushroom, Scanners,Whitey, and Mystery Jets.

In March 2010 Aoki released "I'm in the House", a collaboration with Zuper Blahq—alter-ego ofThe Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am.^[30] The song charted at No. 29 in the UK Singles Chartin its first week of release, and later entered theUK Dance Chart and the UK Indie Chart, peaking within the top five in each chart. The song was featured on an Episode of MTV'sJersey Shore, as well as in the feature film Piranha and the trailer for Think Like A Man

Career Achievements of Steve Aoki

Aoki has won and been nominated for a number of industry awards, both in annual competitions and in magazine rankings. In 2007, he was named Best Party Rocker DJ byBPM Magazine, Best DJ of the Year by Paper Magazine, and Best Set of the Season at theIbiza Awards. Several years later, in 2012, he was named #15 in the Top 100 DJs in DJ Magazine, and was named America's #2 Best DJ. Also in 2012, he won an EDM EffectWoodie Award by MTVu, and the following year he was nominated for his first Grammy.

The Palace Manila have a solid line up of party schedule for the month of September. So choose whatever will make your boat float . One of the exciting event will be ARTFUL DODGER. From
Southampton, England. Genres would be UK garage. Years active in the industry 1997–present.

Here are some information I got from the ever reliable wiki about them .

Artful Dodger are an English garage band from the city of Southampton, which became famous through its 2-step hits, and gave Craig David's career a boost after he appeared on their No. 2 hit, "Re-Rewind", in December 1999.

The band originally consisted of Mark Hill and Pete Devereux, but Devereux left prior to the release of the single "TwentyFourSeven", and Hill continued from then on to produce "TwentyFourSeven" by himself under the same moniker. The UK garage act now comprises MC Alistair and includes producer and DJ Dave Low. Many Artful Dodger tracks can be found on the UK garage compilation album series Pure Garage, mixed by DJ EZ.

The band is named after a character in the Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist, because of the many bootlegs they made in the early days. They are referred to in The Streets' single "Let's Push Things Forward".

This is the video of Rewind one of their smash hit in the UK that relived the career of Craig David.

SUNDAY IS THE BEST DAY TO GO TO THE PALACE, POOL CLUB!

The Palace Pool regular Sunday Social party that started June of this year. It is the new Saturday Night for most of the young professional that are still word mode on even on a saturday. This party club is a brainchild of Raymond Gutierrez and DJs Emil Rowe and Mikhail Schemm. 

Sunday Social of The Palace Pool club offers a laid-back but forward-looking house and deep house music sets, with this being said  the objective of this event  is to get the ever growing market of clued up Manila cosmopolitans to embrace Sundays as a day to go out as well, have a drink and dance . Sunday will never be the same unlike the usual Sunday afternoon listening to daddy's music .

What's great about the pool club is that, less clothes, the better, you can just jump in the pool and enjoy the party even when it is raining most specially this past few weeks we have an unpredictable weather condition .  And also, they have a circus-type of tent to cover the tables.

There are places for you to be dry but the setting of the pool club  encourage people to just enjoy what’s there.

September Blast at Valkyrie and Pool Club

September is the first month in the calendar that signals holiday season is fast approaching. So that is why The Palace Manila wants to be a part of that signal of joy, fun and party. As we all know, filipinos love to party during holiday season. So why not be an early bird???? here is a great example of that blast .

I don't wanna left you with so little information about the above-mentioned events. I know that I wrote article before about Alesso in this blog, but we'll get to know more about him in a bit.

For starters, let us take on PACHA IBIZA, I tried to visit their website to gather info. PACHA Ibiza and I was initially overwhelmed it is in a different language . Thank God they have the option to translate it in english. So here's what I learned about the group. "The first Pacha opened in the beach town of Sitges in 1967. Six years later, in 1973 during the hippy movement, Pacha arrived in Ibiza.  Since then the brand has been constantly developing together with time, fashion and trends, and bringing new ideas, improvements and all kind of extravagances to the night scene; although always maintaining its singularity, its particular style and spirit.

Four decades after its first opening in Sitges, Pacha has successfully established in many different countries all over the world: Brazil, United States, Germany, Egypt, Portugal, Australia among others and soon in many other interesting places on the planet." Source : www.pachaibiza.com

Moving right along, let us now get to know CARNAGE, this is really something new to me guys. Since as I have mentioned in my introduction to this blog, I was just given the opportunity to promote this elite clubs Valkyrie and Pool Club. Special thans to Arvil who brought me into this fun fun world of partying. So I really need to do my research for this international groups/DJ/Personalities that are visiting The Palace Manila. Now, going back to Carnage.

Why do I love Valkyrie/Pool Club of The Palace Manila

I uploaded this videos so that I do not have to explain myself too much why I have that title for this post on my blog. See it for yourself guys. Watch out for this upcoming events at Valkyrie/Pool Club Manila at The Palace.

After watching the video . Do I need to say more ? I don't think so . I can write as many adjective as I can to describe Valkyrie but you saw it yourself. Valkyrie will be Valkyrie and so as Pool Club first of its kind.
